Living Beyond the Mind Traps

It is very interesting to watch and witness the mind creating thoughts. It creates all kind of thoughts, pictures of the past and the future. As the thoughts arise and swirl, the mind, our being, flows along with it, wandering. With this flow it goes from one thought to the other and lands into the trap of vicious thinking.

The non- stop wondering of the mind from past to future thinking leads to mind traps. The mind allures itself by creating a future scene, which makes the heart pulsate with so called emotion ‘happiness’. The next moment it throws the other trap by reliving the unfavourable and ugly past, leaving the heart pulsate again but this time with so called emotion ‘sadness’.

Beyond the mind and the heart there is awareness watching the emotions – the happiness or sadness – passing away; and it laughs because it has enjoyed both the mind traps of happiness/sadness.

The mind seeks change – Experiencing and witnessing prolonged happiness turning into sorrow, or even sorrow, turning into happiness, becomes a routine hence mundane for it; coming to the conclusion that it remains at par with both the emotions. A feeling just like the sea watching and witnessing itself as the waves come and go.

And so one reaches a state which is outside the heart playing tricks on one – a state of awareness, of oneness.

To handle these mind-traps, create an awareness – another mind as a watchdog that is instructed to keep a continuous watch, on the emotion (mind trap). If the thought process of any mode is getting prolonged than needed, this watchdog will warn and remind one to beware of the trap and live beyond both; feeling only love, peace, happiness. All three of which, actually, begin to feel the same to – eventually.

When one is at peace, love and happiness follows – Love; peace; happiness – no separate feelings. They are the same and this is the Oneness, created within.

Living in this equation no feeling exists- just an awareness of peace.
